Let's design a sane society
Without opulence or poverty,
Where people aren't working for privilege and status,
Where people are striving to learn to be righteous,
Today destruction is how we feel related,
Life producing environments are blocked and frustrated,
Change these conditions to which we've been fated.
Dry up base desires,
Let pettiness expire,
Begin to rekindle an eternal fire.
A life of selfishness keeps you so tired.
To put life up to a roll of the dice,
Like toxic waste, nuclear power, and the arms race,
Is a madman's scheme of which we ought'a think twice.
Capital punishment, abortion, and forced sterilization
Show a disrespect for life with no explanation.
Crime against children and wartime abuse of civilians
Characterize the spirit of chaos and derision.
When the times are unsettling
And people are on the run,
The pursuit of happiness
Becomes something called fun.
In the face of nuclear obliteration,
We'll more likely find happiness
In the pursuit of creative solutions.
Dry up base desires,
Let pettiness expire,
Begin to rekindle an eternal fire.
A life of selfishness keeps you so tired.
The time has come
To quit manufacturing lethal weapons,
To pursue a global cooperation,
And to replace ignorance with education.
Quit being guided by capitalistic greed,
Strategically fulfill universal human needs.
Don't practice archaic and fruitless punishments,
Rely instead on hope and encouragement.
Tragic Martyrs
Troubled Spots
One Way or the Other
To Do or Die
